I just bought and built a new system and after a couple of days it has started locking up and blue screening.

i7 950
Asus P6X58D-E
Corsair XMS3 6gb 1600mhz
Sapphire Radeon 6870
Antec Quattro 850watt Modular Power Supply
1tb Samsung Spinpoint F3

I was playing crysis today and after a few hours gaming i quit the game and then the system began locking up and blue screening.
The blue screen reports said
IRQL Not Less Or Equal
Memory Management
System Service Exception.
So i looked into what this could mean and it turned up RAM problems.
So i turned down the frequency from 1600mhz to 1066 and this didnt make any difference.
I then pushed the MemOK! button and these made the system boot into windows but put the ram at a voltage of 1.70.
The RAM is rated at 1.65 and i am unsure of what to do now.
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks

I would set the ram Timmings /volts/ and speed to what it says on the sticker or box the ram come in, Run memtest over night 10 to 12 hours if it fails RMA the ram.

Also you might want to make sure you have all the lastest Driver for your MOBO / GPU / Windows And update your MOBO Bios

Ok i had set the timings volts and speed to what it said originally and that was what i was running it on for a couple of days before it started locking up. Will try memtest.
