Hello, I recently started to delve a little bit into overclocking, but quickly I realized my motherboard (Acer Predator G5900) is locked when it comes to overclocking.

I would like to replace said motherboard with something that: "Is Better", allows overclocking, and that will support all my other hardware.

Specs:

CPU: Intel i7 870 @ 2.93ghz
RAM: 8gb dual-channel DDR3 @ 659ghz
Video Card: Radeon HD 6850 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16
Storage: 1465GB Western Digital WDC WD15EADS-22P8B0 (RAID) & 488GB Seagate ST3500630AS (RAID)

If you need any more info, please do not hesitate to let me know.

its outdated tech, there are very few 1156 motherboard being offered on neweggs. it cost over $100 so its not worth it for any performance gain from overclocking and there is the cost of replacing oem version of windows.

With second hard motherboard its more trying your luck with whats available locally
