Before i start with my question, Yes you have permission to laugh at my setup =p

I will start of by saying i can't afford insane systems or anything like that so i'm a budget gamer. Recently tho i upgraded my system, I was looking for some opinions or actual experiences to help gauge my upgrade, Before all the parts and whatnot arrive.

My old PC:
cpu: AMD Athlon 64 3200+ (single core, x64 processor) 2ghz - OC'd to 2.35ghz on stock

video: eVGA Geforce 9800GTX OC'd as well (I dont have the exact numbers)

mobo: Biostar Geforce 6100-M9 motherboard (very cheap board, However i have to say SICK overclocking options on biostar mobos)

ram:G-skill 2gigs DDR-400 Ram

OS: Win 7 64bit ultimate

I have been gaming on this computer for... a long time, 2004? 2005? I've been able to run things like Crysis (all - high but under 25fps) or Mass effect 2 (30+), Dragon age, L4D2 etc. With that said.. My new parts:

New PC:
Case: Cool-master RC-692 w/ 4 120mm fans
CPU: 2.5ghz Phenom x4 9850 Black Edition w/ Cool-master Hyper TX3 HSF (which i very much plan on OC'ing)
Mobo: ASUS M4A785-M
Ram: G-Skill Heatplated 4Gigs DDR2-800mhz
Video: Reusing the Geforce 9800 till i can pick up a cheap 4 or 500 series
Drives: reusing a 250gb 7200rpm sata drive and a Asus Dvd+r DL drive
Pwr supply: Reusing a Corsair 500w (forget the model)
OS: Win 7 64bit ultimate

Total price was around 194$ or so, Which includes 35$ in mail in rebates

Ok so anyway i know thats a wall of text, But if anyone would be kind enough to go through all that and help give me some idea if i can expect massive performance jumps, none etc because i've never actually used even a dual core or anything remotely better.

Thanks for you're time.

You should see a massive performance boost especially while multi-tasking :)

i recently upggraded from a celeron d (lol yea its that old) to a phenom II x4.. i do notice big jumps loading times, gaming (no more lag :D) and especially mutiple tabs when browsing.. it should be definetely worth the money :)
