Hi everyone,
I just put together a new build. Core i7 2600k, Asrock P67 Extreme4 Gen3 motherboard, and 4x4gb Gskill RipjawsX memory (ddr3-1600, F3-12800CL8D-8GBXM, XMP CL8-8-8-24 1.5v)
I'm getting the dreaded error code 45 on Dr. debug when all four sticks of RAM are loaded in. Monitor also won't turn on.
BUT, If I put any of the two sticks in slot B1 and B2 (two slots furthest from CPU) then the BIOS loads, video card works, monitor works, and I can get into the asrock uefi setup utility. It seems like slots A1 and A2 are faulty...any combination of RAM sticks in those slots will bring up the code 45 error.
First time builder so any tips would be appreciated. I even tore everything apart to check if there were any bent CPU pins..seems like everything is ok. Is there something else i can do? Maybe tweak some bios settings? I really don't want to RMA but after reading a lot of posts, it seems like i may have to!
Thanks!!!
