What am I missing? I would like ot upgrade my wireless card on the IBM
760ED laptop to one of the new G series cards. I have now tried 3
different cards. No luck at all. ALL fail with either the driver
showing as having a problem and/or the system just does not see the
card at all. I put the Proium card back in all is fine. I have a
feelig it is related to the old PCMCIA card not supporting the new 32
bit cardbus of the new cards. I treid to find updated drivers without
luck. Any ideas?? thanks

I am having this problem too. My belkin 54g wireless pcmcia network
card is visible in device manager but just fails to light up. I
eventually gave up on the problem and bought a pcmcia card which
offers 2 x usb2 ports with a usb power tap. I then bought a usb2
wireless dongle and a ps2 to usb adapter (to get power to the new usb
ports via the power tap from the ps2 port on the laptop). I now get
wireless connectivity at 802.11g speed through my 760ED. I think that
the pcmcia port probably doesn't supply enough power to the card to
make it work.
