What’s New in Release 260.89 GPU Drivers: Increases performance for GeForce GTX 400 Series GPUs in several PC games vs. v258.96 WHQL drivers. The following are examples of some of the most significant improvements measured on Windows 7. Results will vary depending on your GPU and system configuration. Here are the changes on the GeForce GTX 460 graphics card:

* Up to 19% in StarCraft II (SLI – 1920x1200 4xAA/16xAF Ultra)
* Up to 15% in Battlefield Bad Company 2 (SLI – 2560x1600 4xAA/16xAF)
* Up to 12% in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat (2560x1600 noAA)
* Up to 9% in Aliens vs. Predator (1680x1050 4xAA/16xAF – Tessellation on)
* Up to 7% in Metro 2033 (1680x1050 noAA – Tessellation on)

I wonder if these address Civ V, I don't have the game so I will not know.
I tried them, I had to re-enable sli after reboot. Which was ok , it went smooth.
The weather is getting cooler out, my two cards are running closer in temperature. I won't attribute that to the driver, but it went through my mind

I lost my Nvidia Control Panel with the last beta 260-series drivers. Hopefully these do a better job with the installation.

Hi matto17secs! Happened to me as well, and the solution is pretty simple. You just need to uninstall the driver. Restart the pc and THEN install the new driver. And there you go, you have the control panel, no prob at all!

260.89 for some reason won't install on my windows 7 with the error "non 7 zipfile"

I figured that might be the problem. I had read that the new 260 series drivers were able to do a complete uninstall of the previous drivers for you, so I decided to try it out. Apparently, I still need to do it the old way: uninstall, restart, then install new drivers.

Where did you download the drivers from? If you get them directly from the Nvidia site, then you should have no problems with opening the installation package. I know that if you download drivers from Guru3d, for example, you have to unzip the files before you can install them.

It's been working for me, although I have had to do a restart before Rivatuner recognises that the driver has been changed.

Well im going to try it out today since i downloaded 7 zip, For some reason when i select the windows version which is windows 7 ultimate 32 bit it thinks its for vista

I download the drivers from Nvidia direct, But lets see what happens i hope it works this time

I have the last beta's drivers I know they where trying to get rid of the need to drive sweep between updates.. but should I still drive sweep? Or does it work fine?
