300 watt psu for 5770

This Pc only has 300 watt power supply .I was going to buy a new psu, but I might not be able to buy a new power supply because of my limited budget.
My friend runs the same card on 300 watt psu with intel quad core and 4 gm ddr2 ram.His cad runs fine, even on high settings in call of duty and all.
Would it be possible to run this card on 300 watt psu. What are the possible consequences?

Will it have any impact on the components its connected to, for example, the card itself or the motherboard or the processor?

It'll be fine, just don't overclock anything.

Your system including the 5770 should be using about 200w, That said I agree with ct1615 and i'd certainly save up my money and at the first opportunity drop a good quality 450w -550w power supply in it as soon as you can afford it.

I went head and bought myself a corsair psu and installed it and it works fine.
My old psu didn't even have a pci-express plug for my graphic card. I had to buy a new one to run my graphic card regardless of the power.
