Best final cut pro settings for digitizing vhs tapes

Hello All,
I have no idea if I'm the right category, but I found a similar question to mine here, so I thought I'd give it a shot.

I'm trying to transfer a VHS video to DVD using Final Cut Pro 7.0.3. I'm really new to this program. I've digitized it once but the picture is really pixelated. Is there a way to change the settings in the log and capture process to reduce the pixelation?

Any tips are appreciated!

As for the problem I've never used that software but pixelation is usually caused by low resolution.
