RAM posting at 1333 instead of 1600 in bios

Are your ram config in a dual channel config? Both sticks put in the same colour slots?
The memory controller are integrated in the cpu so its the cpu downclocking it.

yeah they are in dual channel. yeah i was suspecting it might be cpu that was problem. know any fixes?

why? Doesn't mean it run slower than it would be on 1600. download cpu-z and give me the timings its on now at 1300

Then give me the rated timings at 1600.

oh i thought that meant it would run slower. doesn't that mean the ram speed is faster if its at 1600?

1333 is stock speed, to run at 1600 you would need to overclock at least the ram and as Dadiggle pointed out, it might not be faster than the 1333 speed, all depends on the timings & latency.

my ram is stock 1600 though i thought.
