gpu's performance depends on clocks. VRAM has nothing to do with performance. Its logical though illogical for some people

Well, In most cases probally no. And if you have a card with 64 or 128 mb ram you wont notice a diffrence because to me expectation your not going to use it for games.

^^ To be fair, it could be a REALLY old Geforce 4 or something...

If the two model cards are EXACTLY the same, then its logicial the one with the more VRAM is faster. Otherwise, its more of a tossup (For example: A 2GB 4870 might be faster then a 1GB 4890, at certain resolutions/settings)

Back in 2001 the original GTS GeForce 2 had a whole 64MB and was one of the fastest things around.
