No signal

Hi all,
i have installed a 9600gt graphics card in to a system (going from a hd3200 onboard). the problem is, everytime i turn the system on the monitor shows no signal so i have to hold the power button and turn the system off and then put the system back on and then it works. but after the second time of turning it on i have a menu to choose to load up normal or in safe mode.

it is running windows 7 32bit.

Any other information you need let me know.

just a update, nothing in the bios has been changed as on all my systems the on-board gpu gets disabled once i put the card in the pci-e slot but do you think it could be something to do with that.

also the card was tested in my main pc and booted fine many times and ran as it should for about 3-4 hours.

The only other thing i can think of is the monitor is 1680x1050 but that option was not availible so i had to make a custom resolution through the nvidia control pannel to get the correct resolution.

I also installed a new power supply with 20a on dual rail for the +12v so more than enough for the power ( v1 20a + v2 20a0. any ideas will be great.
