Need help

Hi all,

I just got a new XFX 9800 GT card and a new monitor Acer H203H. When I power On, the monitor shows no signal.. all cables are properly connected though..

my XFX 9800GT has a DVI-I Dual link output and the monitor has a DVI-D port(and also a VGA).. the cable I am using is a DVI-D single link cable. Do I need to get any adapter for this..

I also tried connecting the VGA pin to the gfx card using a VGA to DVI-I dual link adapter.. even that results in the same..

Any ideas what I am doing wrong..

Could be a bad card.

Can you please list all your pertinent info?

Power Supply (including total wattage and amperage across the 12v rails)

If you have integrated video you need to go into the bios and tell your computer to use the pci express card instead.

Hi Borisof007,

Just got it working.. One of my ram was somewat loosely fitted(I guess it might have happened when I was putting my new card.).. I removed it and put it back again and its working now.. Thanks for the prompt reply..
