My PSU won't power my HD 5670

Hey guys,
I recently purchased a XFX HD 5670.
And I installed right away when I got it delivered from UPS.

Okay,
I have to tell you the Specs of my computer so you guys can a get idea.

CPU- Celeron 420 @1.60GHz
RAM- 2GB
PSU- 300w (I know the HD 5670 requires 400w)

I think I made the mistake when I though that my 300w PSU could power the 5670.
My current PSU only has 20 power connectors to the motherboard.
I was doing some reading and I found that the extra 4 pins are for powering the graphics (I believe)

I thought my card was DOA when I installed it because I got no signal to my monitor.
And the fan on the graphics card was spinning. (I hope that I didn't damage the graphics card)

I just want to know if am correct, my current power supply set up.
And if once I get a new power supply,
My graphics card will function properly.

I only have $45 to spend for a for a new power supply.
Can anyone help me look for a new power supply?

Thanks!

    Thanks a lot mate,

I was looking at these two earlier, I liked them because of the price.

But the reviews kind of concerned me.
  3. there are only a few good rosewill units the green is one of their better lines

there are a few more but you'll be good using the green 430

    another option

$20 after rebate even tho the rosewill is slightly better its a good deal
  4. rosewill has just a few alright models, for the price the ocz does better, i never trusted rosewill and never will, theres still lower end of the blacklist of bad powersupplies

    Yeah,
I noticed that not many people like Rosewill power supplies.

I saw the reviews for that Corsair,
And they are really bad man.

    But I don't :(
