Considering upgrading PSU/ General PC help.

Hey guys Im rather new to computer gaming and PC building, I know all the basic but would like some advice on my PSU and GPU.

Im looking for some general advice on my PCs capabilities, and which direction I should go with upgrades.


Oh yeah, keep in mind this is just a steping stone PC so i dont trash the new one im planning on buying at the end of the year.

I just bought this PC back in Dec. of 2010 and stuck a cheap card in it so I can play some games. Specs are as follows.



Mobo: MSI K9N6PGM2-V2 (MS-7309)

CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 255

GPU: ATI Radeon HD 4350 1GB

RAM: 4 GB DDR2

PSU: 300 watt


Im considering a new a PSU and im concerned ill buy one my mobo wont like.
After the new PSU i was thinking about a better graphics card so some suggestions would be great.

Im not looking to put more than 300 into it.

And im basically just trying to make this comp as good as possible while learning all i'll need to know to for a future build.

Im going to give this to my brother once i build myself a new one.

might even wanna consider a cpu upgrade after that because the cpu will be the biggest draw back after you get those 2

I agree with obsidian those 2 items would be the best value upgrade for your PC the next step would be a better CPU.

For a CPU upgrade this would be very good one for your 95W motherboard.
