Help with mobo

Hello all, i just shipped my computer fedex and it arived with the graphic card not working. i'm guessing it's the motherboard. i'm looking to replace it, mainly because its the cheaper of the two and i would like a newer chipset. my system is:

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit
ASUS M4A88T-M Motherboard - AMD 880GX - DDR3 - USB 2 SATA 3 Gb/s
AMD Phenom II X4 965 Quad Core 3.4GHz, Socket AM3, 6M Cache

Sapphire Radeon HD 6950 2 GB DDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Intel X25M 120 GB Solid State Drive with Internal SATA
Western Digital Caviar Black 1 TB, 7200 RPM, 64 MB Cache, SATA 6 Gb/s
Ultra 650-Watt Power Supply ATX, SATA-Ready, 135mm Fan

i was thinking of going with one of these:
ASUS M5A99X Evo - AM3+ - 990X - SATA 6Gbps and USB 3.0 - ATX DDR3 2133 Motherboards $150
GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard $145
i dont crosfire of tweak, i just want a good board.
any sugestions?

did you take the video card out and put it back in?

sometimes during transport the card can move and does not make contact

personally I would go with the ASUS board

yup, in and out 3 times. and with it in, i don't get signal from the on board graphics

have you tried the onboard video card?

may be it its a BIOS setting
