Just got a new mobo and CPU but it feels like I'm breaking it.

So I just ordered this CPU and this mobo. It's my first time going with intel and their chip sets are a lot different that what I'm used to and when I tried installing it it feels like I have to put an enormous amount more pressure that I'm used to, and it seems to wiggle in the socket. After pushing it into place it gives off a sound that sounds like the pins on the bottom are being crushed. So, is this normal, and what to do if it isn't?

Hi, is the system running?

When installing the heatsink, you need to push the pins in diagonally and you should only hear a clicking noise when in place.

Your motherboards manual will have instructions on how to properly install the heatsink.

If you need to use to much force installing the heatsink in a way that it feels that your motherboard wants to snap in half you are not doing it right.
