2500k safe max temp??

Does anyone happen to know what the safe max temp is for a 2500k? Thanks

I think the design maximum is 90 degrees celcius, but you should never hit that unless something's gone wrong with your cooling, even with the stock cooler.

Always aim to stay below 80, preferably 70 especially when you're overclocking. The Sandy Bridge chips are a lot cooler than the previous gen Core i so I shouldn't think you'd have any problems.

I am in the low 60s at load with my Scythe Mugen 2 Rev. B and i7 2600K overclocked to 4.5 with hyperthreading on. 1.3v

Man, we really need a Sandy Bridge sticky with all of this basic overclocking info...

I have tested my 2500K and it auto-throttles before the temps actually reach the maximum. The maximum safe temp is 98ºC, but it auto-throttles in the low-90sºC.
