Hello,
I just got a new i5 system last week and I am having an odd problem. As I installed Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, everything went fine. As I was doing the Windows Update the computer said it needed to restart to finish the update. I clicked okay (not start & then restart) and the machine rebooted and then it got stuck in the BIOS. All I got was a flashing blinker and the machine was totally unresponsive. I had to hold down the power button for five seconds and then the machine turned off. I then turned it back on and it continued the update. Also if I did not press OK when it said it had to reboot, it would reboot but NOT finish the Windows Update. Any suggestions??? Is it the chip or motherboard????
