I'm a web developer who needs to run a lot of applications while working( Photoshop Suite, Editors, Multiple Browsers, a Local apache server running PHP etc) and am an avid gamer who plays CoD.
I don't know much about over-clocking so I will probably run with the base setup. I was considering buying the i7 970, with a P6X58D Premium motherboard w/ Corsair Dominator 6GB(3x2GB) RAM. Is the 970 overkill for a nice system that will last me years?
Should I consider going with a 2600K instead?
