TY to all who have helped with my build most of parts are on the way. i only have 1 more q. i wanted to kno if the CORSAIR HX Series CMPSU-850HX 850W would be enough for this build or if i need more crystals :pt1cable:

here are the parts:
Intel Core i5-2500K
Asus P8P67 PRO
Kingston HyperX Blu 4GB (2 x 2GB) (2 of these so 8 GB total)
2x GIGABYTE SOC GeForce GTX 560 Ti (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit in SLI (some1 said i dont NEED sli *cough* T *cough* but i r WANTING sli :kaola: at least later anyway )
Crucial RealSSD C300 64GB SATA III SSD O.S.
Western Digital Caviar Black WD5002AALX 500GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Programs & Files
Western Digital Scorpio Black 500GB 7200 RPM 2.5" backup
SAMSUNG Black slim DVD+RW
NZXT Sentry-2 5.25" Touch Screen fan controller
SILVERSTONE MFP51-B eye candy
COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus (in my last thread it was wisely spoken that "the 2500k overclocks like a "#*@(#" " and on stock, so ill just leave this here as a possibility and not definite.)
all this in a Rosewill DESTROYER Black Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
also 4x case fans for 7 total

i ask cause i was going to get the 750hx but when i went to do a recalc after i added the ssd the recc psu went to 800

Yes, the HX850 would suffice wonderfully.

I was going to recommend another PSU in the same price class, but then I realised it might just lead to another thread...

OK couldn't resist...

Antec Quattro 1000 or Corsair TX950 would make your build more future proof and leave some headroom for overclocking...

Sigh. Here we go again.

On a nice build like that, I would highly recommend spending the xtra $100 on the 2600K. You get 4 more virtual cores and more cache per core. When Intel and AMD drop their 8 core bombs real soon, your gonna already feel left behind.

Unless of course this is just a gaming machine only.

If you don't have the extra $100, then just drop one of those 560's and pick only up later when they are a lot cheaper.

no ill stick with the 850.

never heard of them. and i heard that multi +12v were bad. (amps per rail)

that was the plan for the 560's i was just stating the specs for the complete setup. also not sure its worth it for HT + 2mb L3. unless your 60% editing, and i do that only on occasion not full time.

though i did buy and have the 2500k, im debating on taking it back and getting the 2600k. not worth the 100 for HT and 2MB of L3, but i can have an i7 and sweet bragging rites :D

i completely agree. saw some benchmarks that were mentioned (wasn that in 1 of my old threads?) and saw it that it was true. the 2600k is only ahead when it comes to multi threaded apps (obviously HT). however for the most part theyre neck and neck.

so im glad i already have the 2500k

whoa! iwas browsing newegg, and my GIGABYTE SOC GeForce GTX 560 Ti (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit randomly went from "auto notify" to add cart. i clicked on it and it let me add to cart but when i checked my emial i didn't get any notification of it being available, so i ordered it on a whim, and found out why i didn't get the notification. it went from "auto notify" to "add to cart" back to "auto notify" in less than 3 hrs. but hey, who wouldn want a full warranty on a already super overclocked card, that blinds people with pure awsmness?

tried 2 inv everyone over for jello-shots but wifey said no. Apparently itd be a bad influence on my daughter :sarcastic:. so now, bored and sad, i started going back to my build and drooling. its not complete since my mobo hasn't come out yet so all of my components are sitting here staring at me. except my new 2TB external. i already put that together. so now i did a quick tweak.

[strike]Crucial RealSSD C300 64GB SATA III SSD[/strike] (not worth it unless EVERYTHING is on it)
[strike]Rosewill DESTROYER Black Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case [/strike] (im rather fond of side panel windows)
[strike]also 4x case fans for 7 total[/strike] only need 1

ADDED:
Antec Nine Hundred or the Antec Six Hundred though i dont like the mandatory 3.5 (who uses that anymore? id say a fan controller but i have a 5.25 one)
a 120mm CoolJag EF4-12 Coolest Mini LED Flash Fan and last but not least a LOGISYS Computer CLK12BL2 12" DUAL COLD CATHODE KIT
i think the upgrades are worth it. spent this much might as well make it memorable.
