  1. Best answer
    i7 + HD 6870

RAM + ASUS X58 Sabertooth - Newer board with SATA 6GB/s and USB3.0, not to forget the 5 years warranty,...

CASE - Both are very good cases with very good airflow...

PSU - Though the Ultra are fine, but I would suggest something more efficient,...
PC Power and Cooling Silencer Mk II PPCMK2S750 750W
10% off with promo code OCZDEC12, ends 12/19

HDD - A faster one for boot
    Samsung F3 1TB

    DVD + OS - Same

    Total - ~$1192
  2. Technically next week AMD 69xx series GPu's are coming out. If you can wait that long it may mean a a price drop of 68XX GPU's back to MSRP.

Also, definitely not the Ultra PSU. They're consistently rated as subpar over at Jonny Guru.

The Silencer series is good, but the best buy for the money is a XFX 750W BE $110 after MIR.

Rest of Gkays build is excellent.
  3. Thank you both for your responses. Will definitely wait for "next" week to maybe get a reduction price.
