Hi i have a GeForce 9800 GT graphics card that I put in my comp when i put it together probably a year and half ago. It ran fine for ever. I was playing a game the other day when game crashed then i went to blue screen. So computer turned off I restarted and now i keep crashing and cant even get to the start up screen. I took it out, dusted it and tried it again no luck. Right now i took it out and am just using the motherboard for display.

But is it looking like im going to need a new graphics card or anyone have same problem?

Im running windows 7
4gb ddr3 ram
with Gigabyte motherboard
AMd dual core processor

THANKS

Yes the 6 pin power cable is in.

I inserted back the gpu plugged monitor back into the gpu and started in safe mode fine. But since i can even get to my home screen or my web browser to download the latest drivers. I tried to download them with out the gpu in and i got this message

"The NVIDIA Setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible wiht your current hardware. Setup will now exit."

I tried to download the newest drivers from the NVIDIA website

So now i don't know what to do. Besides buy a new graphics card :(

Anything else I could try?
