Hey Forum,

Need your help and advice.

The graphics card which I have is a weak and old (Yet stable and running good) ATI HD 4350. I wish to upgrade it to a 5770 or a cool nVidia graphics card.

Easy enough, right?

Problem though, my PSU is only 350W.

But that's not the main problem (Oh yeah, we've got sub-problems with this one...) The main problem is that Dell's machine (XPS 8000) "apparently" have a unique casing to it, however, i've seen quite a lot of people put their own PSU's in which are over 550W....

Can anyone recommend which PSU I should get baring in mind that MY PC is a XPS 8000, an i7 860 machine with 4GB DDR3 1067MHz RAM and 500GB HD. And also I wish to get a 5770 or maybe something slightly weaker, but not drastically. I saw an article which told the public to take stuff like "rails" and "pin/connecrors" in to consideration..

I'm sure you guys can give a textbook/unambiguous answer to what they are and why they should be considered.

So please tell me, what PSU shall I get? (I'm a mild, very very mild gamer - More in to my studies/programming etc)

Any help or advice is really appreciated.

Let me....get this straight.

You're saying my PSU will be able to keep up with a ATI HD 5770?
