460 gtx in sli startup issue

So the other day I had 1 of my cards out for rma and I noticed that without my second card in I got to see the full boot up screen mobo info etc.. (win 7 64 bit is the os I'm running btw) Since then got my new card back and installed (works great) however my screen flickers and goes black until I get to the win 7 log in screen. It's not a huge issue just seems weird and it bugs me when I cant figure things out. Plus if I need to adjust boot setting or something. Is this normal or is something wacky ?

It might just be the driver initialising, I get something similar on my W7 rig although it happens a couple of minutes after it's booted in to windows.

When I run dual monitors with the gtx 460, the bios and loading windows happens on the secondary monitor ,leaving my main blank, then snaps to main with Windows opening. Thats slightly annoying but hey ? My main is #1 under windows also.
