This is probably a stupid question but I'll ask anyways.
I just put together my first computer, when I turned it on for the first time I got a long beep and two short ones (my motherboard says it's a monitor/graphics card problem), and the monitor says that there is no input. The fan on the graphics card also never started. It is a nvidia geforce gts 450.
I took the card out and put it back in just in case it wasn't in right, but that same thing happened.
so did I receive a card that was DOA? or is there something I can do about this?
here's my build:
Gigabyte X58A-UD3R motherboard
Gigabyte GeForce GTS 450
Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB SATA3 6GB/S
Intel Core i7 950 $289
OCZ StealthXStream 2 600W ATX12V 24PIN Active PFC 80PLUS ATX Power Supply
G.SKILL F3-12800CL8T-6GBRM Ripjaws 6GB 3X2GB DDR3-1600 CL8-8-8-24 240PIN Triple Channel i7 Memory
