Hey, just tossing up which graphic card provider i should buy, EVGA or Gigabyte...
I want to get the Nvidia 460 GTX 712mb...I have gigabyte motherboard if that makes any difference.

I know this may have been post before but I cannot find anything recent.

Thanks!

If you have good airflow *or atleast more then 1 fan* EVGA is better.

If you have lower airflow *1 fan* Gigabyte is better.

But that is just my opinion of what I have seen, the only card I have ever used is the gigabyte one, and I don't even have your version of the card. I have the 1gig version.

@Others feel free to give reasons why I am wrong. :)

But imo if I where you just spend a little extra and get the MSI Hawk its the best GTX 460 1g on the market and its only $200 AR http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Before you do anything stupid?

What power supply do you have?

I want to make sure it will run the card. :)

Its a 550 watt power supply, I'm not sure of the brand at the moment, but ill check when I go to buy in a a week or so, I'm going to buy from a store not the net btw.

Right now I just really want to know which brand of graphic card is better.

Both are as good as each other tbh..

Teh only thing really is:

The Looks, each card is different, go for one you like the look of
The performance - some have OC'ing from standard, some have higher/better OC'd
The noise - this maybe an issue for you, some are quiter than others
Warranty - Some have more than others, as a general rule (esp in the UK) the OC'd version have less warranty than stardard reference GPU's
Game Bundles/Accessories - Some have more than others again, some come with games some dont.
