Why wont my wireless card work

I had to reinstall Vista 32-bit on my Toshiba l305d-s5935 by clean install. Once it was installed, most everything seemed to work except the custom keyboard shortcuts and the internet. I first plugged in the ethernet cord after it wouldn't detect wireless networks and nothing happened, so i downloaded the driver for the realtek rtl8187b, and then wired internet worked, but not wireless. My modem's wireless works for sure, and my wireless setting on the computer is "on". How can I fix this?
