Hello,
when you crossfire two graphics cards, what happens to your GPU clock, memory clock and shaders etc? Does it double?

because sadly i bought the 5870 around 1 month ago without knowledge of 6xxx series coming out soon - so
1. planning to either sell my 5870 + get 6xxx series or,
2. crossfire.
I ask the above question just so i know how good 5870CF will go against the 6xxx series when it comes out.

5870 crossfire setup is going to be strong and a probably only a dual GPU card in the 6xxx series would be needed to beat its performance. You will get up to over 90% performance increase. In crossfire the cards will default to the settings of the lower clocked cards, clock, shaders, memory if not the same and etc.

haha no

You will not get 90% performance increase,

More like 70%

If was a SLI which scales better it would be 80%

But that 70% is still nothing to sneeze at. :)
