Value of Intel QX6800?

What is a fair price for a 3 year old intel QX6800 2.93Ghz socket LGA775 that hasn't been overclocked with a G0 stepping?

they are hard to find, and a lot of internet sites have new ones priced up to 900.00 dollars, but seriously 900.00 is way overpriced even for a new one if u ask me. why would anyone pay that, and what is fair for a used one? I checked Ebay but there aren't any auctions listed for this CPU.

Take a look on ebay.

Have seen one on a buy now for £188 from hong kong while others are up near £900.

the problem is the sample size is so small for auctions (right now there are no auctions on ebay listed for it), and the buy it now prices are all across the map (and often outrageous for an obsolete design IMO, like 1100 USD). Most regular vendors no longer stock it and those that do, again their prices are all across the map as well.

I was just wondering if anyone had another metod to valuing this processor.

all those older core 2's are going for much more than an equivelant new AMD phenom. i guess they are getting the buyers that dont want to switch platform.
