Forum Motherboards & Memory : Memory DDR3 - Worth the hassle to upgrade?

My situation is kind of unique so I'd like to get your thoughts.

I have two computers...
Computer 1:
GA-X38-DQ6
Q6600 (No OC)
4gb DDR2
8800GT

Computer 2:
M4A79XTD EVO
Athlon II X4 620 (No OC)
4gb DDR3
9800GT

Computer #1 is my main gaming rig right now, and the other is just acting as a server. I was considering swapping out the hard-drives so I can move my Windows 7 & games from #1 to #2, thereby gaining DDR3 and a 9800GT.

However, I'm not sure the work & effort of doing so would be worth the rather minimal performance gain. From the research I've done, it looks like the Q6600 and the X4 620 are comparable to each other, as is the 9800GT to the 8800GT.

Would I be better off just keeping things the same, or would the upgrade to DDR3 be worth it?

The upgrade is worth it. However you may not want to put a huge amount of faith in an EVO motherboard.
