I am wondering if any of you can help me? When I play Aion or run SL I only get 30fps which is unusual.
I have
AMD Phenom(tm) 9750 Quad-Core Processor (4 CPUs), ~2.4GHz
Memory: 8184MB RAM
Page File: 1978MB used, 14442MB available
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260
Manufacturer: NVIDIA
Chip type: GeForce GTX 260
DAC type: Integrated RAMDAC
Device Key: Enum\PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_05E2&SUBSYS_0CDD19F1&REV_A1
Display Memory: 4069 MB
Dedicated Memory: 869 MB
Shared Memory: 3199 MB
Current Mode: 1680 x 1050 (32 bit) (60Hz)
And I recently was using and I have a 700watt power supply.
But I had been using a 600 and it was still working with the GTX 260

If you have a 260 core 216, it should be more capable than that at your current resolution. As ^ already said, its likely a cpu issue.

If you can OC the processor a bit and see better results, you'll know you're on the right track.

Yes, the Phenom X4 9xxx were a junk. The GPU is fine.

EDIT: I'm not that much familiar with the game, but have you tried applying patches? (are there any patches?)

I see, that's what I was thinking was the problem. I will more than likely find a new CPU then. Thank you for your help =).

The GTX 260, although a "last generation" card, is by no means "outdated" for 1680x1050 resolutions. At least not in my opinion. It's a perfectly fine card.

However, I do agree with the sentiments with regard to your CPU. The original Phenom series wasn't all that great.

To see whether your CPU is really your limitation, I'd suggest lowering your resolution setting or other graphic settings. See if you gain FPS. If you see no gains, then you know the GPU isn't the limiting factor (in that case it's likely CPU).

Also keep in mind, with MMO type games, latency issues can also cause performance problems locally.
