Looking to upgrade motherboard, looking for suggestions

Forum Motherboards & Memory : Motherboards Looking to upgrade motherboard, looking for suggestions

I am looking to build a new tower. I have a case picked out, the Cooler Master HAF X RC-942 but I am unsure of the motherboard I should get.

I have been following along the Tom's articles on the LGA 1155 (I believe those are the current Sandy Bridge) and have been considering the i5 2500K which Tom's suggests is worth more than the slight edge of the i7.

I am not a huge gamer, but I am looking to play games such as Guild Wars 2 as well as possibly Starcraft 2's upcoming campaign releases and such. With the 2011 processors around the corner, should I wait to purchase one of those, or will the LGA 1155 be upgradeable for the foreseeable future (2 to 3 years)?

Also, which chipset (if I should go with the LGA 1155) should I go for? I have read some things about the P67 but also about the Z68. Which is considered the best? Also, I have also read USB 3.0 is not yet natively supported so is that a huge concern that I should wait on it? And should I consider a UEFI mobo (that is if they don't all have UEFI now)? The last tower I built was about 4 years ago. I'm not an overclocker so that's not much of a consideration for me.

Thank you for any advice.

The 2011 cpu is not around the corner it's here and for sale. The only problem is it's expensive and most people will be getting the lower version because of the price so it would be just as well to go with the i5-2500k.

ASUS P8Z68 Deluxe LGA 1155 Intel Z68 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS $244.99.

ASRock Z68 EXTREME4 GEN3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard $184.99.

Either of these motherboards would be fine.

So the Z68 chipset is the best to go with over the P67?
