Kindly suggest me which would be better in terms of performance, power wont be an issue i suppose because i am opting for an hx 1000watts corsair psu. Atm i am looking at a single card and upgrading to an sli or cf after 2 months.

Kindly suggest me a good deal performance wise.

Its been quite confusing for me to choose between them, price is not an issue here. :)

850W PSU should handle dual GTX470 with no problem. But, if you want to get that Corsair 1000W then it's okay, it good for a long term in case you want to upgrade again later in the future...
I know it's expensive, but you get a high quality product, your choice, buddy... :)

I have the GTX470 in Sli, and the fact that at 1920x1080 Res, nothing can stop it from preforming pretty much flawlessly.

Got 2 new games and both are just stunning and smooth. F1 2010 and Medal Of Honor, even Metro 2033 just pushes the limit and still provides smooth and very playable gameplay.

The only thing which lets it down (in my eyes) is the temps these babys run at (esp in sli) my first runs at 85-90ºC. This is prefectly fine and well within its tolerance, its just boggles my mind at the fact is thats sodding hot for a electrical component! (Btw 105ºC is the top tolerance)

The GTX460 will be decent, but not as good as the GTX470 in SLi, i dont think these scale as well as the 470's in Sli either, but not 100% sure on that one.

The 5850, im not sure about as i havent researched into the ATI Line

Two 460s. Just how much power do they need? (cards only)

I have the Coolermaster 750w PSU, not the best brand but working OK for me at the moment with no issues..

That Corsair will be a good choice, allows room for upgrades or just general extra (More HDD's, Optical Drives etc) Is it overkill? Yes/No. lol

Any decent make of PSU @ 750w+ is fine for a GTX470 Sli setup..
