Hey, this will be my very first build and I've read up on the various topics and necessary components and hopefully someone will be able to check that my parts are all compatible and an efficient use of my well earned dollars. My build is as follows...

Case - Cooler Master HAF 932
http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=6_111&item_id=019666

Motherboard - Asus M4A78T-E Socket AM3 AMD 790GX

CPU - AMD Phenom II X4 965

CPU Cooler - Arctic Cooling Freezer XTREME Rev.2
http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=8_129&item_id=022082

An additional note is that I plan to utilize CrossfireX later down the road but it's not in my immediate need or budget during the initial build. I will be most likely running Windows 7 64-bit OS and will be using this computer as a gaming PC plus regular web surfing, word/spreadsheet processing as well. It will be hooked up to my LCD TV and I'll only be using a single monitor for the time being.

Many Thanks!!!

Overall it looks good...

MB - For that much $$ you can find a MB with USB 3.0 and SATA 6. Sticking with Asus maybe something like => http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131646

CPU - If overclocking, find an X4 955. It will be the same as an overclocked 965 and save you a little money.

HDD - IHMO stay away from Seagate. Pick up a Samsung Spinpoint F3.

CPU Cooler - Fine and all, but this will do all the cooling you will need for a little cheaper. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103065&cm_re=212%2b-_-35-103-065-_-Product

No need for 8GB RAM for Gaming. ASUS 890 chipset based MOBO with future crossfire option. Cheaper 6870 GPU. Best 750w PSU from Corsair, am using the same. Better performance HDD. No need to spend on Full tower. Get same CPU heat sink model as stated in above post.

^ yeah if he can afford 932 then gud otherwise scout can have 2x6870's. I wont suggest other PSU then the Corsair as its been recognized by many as the best in that range, i have it with the 932 case and with gud cable management around the case, modular dont matter much.
