Hi ,
I have Intel Desktop Board DX58SO. In DX58SO there are 4 DIMMS with Channel A DIMM 1, Channel A DIMM 2 , Channel B and Channel C.

I already have 2GB+2GB ram XMP enabled Crossair sticks on channel B and C. I want to add 4 more GB.
Is it recommended to add two 2GB sticks on both Channel A DIMM 1, Channel A DIMM 2 or just one 2GB stick on Channel A DIMM 2 ie would you recommend 2GB+2GB+2GB on triple channel or 2GB+2GB+2GB+2GB on dual channel ?

Thanks

Solution
X58 boards would mean LGA 1366 which are triple channel. So you would have to go 2+2+2 or 4+4+4 or 3+3+3 or 1+1+1. Since you alreaedy have 2x2GB RAM's. Get another 2Gb of the exact same specs as the two you have and if possible of the same brand.

Thanks for the reply, I had bought Crosair XMS 1600 Mhz 2+2 sticks and we cant get one stick separately. So i will have to buy the same 2+2 sticks. So I was wondering if it was good to keep all ie 2+2+2+2 or just 2+2+2 ?

Just last thing I just called up a shop and found out that the Crosair XMS 1600 Mhz 2Gb sticks have been stopped and are no longer available. But there are 4 GB ones with same latency available, so is it ok to install another 4gb stick with the existing 2gb+2gb.

They should be off the same capacity IIRC. Try to find a RAM of some other brand but of the exact same specs. Should not give you any problems. One thing you can do is sell the 2x2GB kits and get 3x2GB kits new! RAM's these days are pretty cheap, so should not be a problem!
