System recover disk problems

My computer was showing a message indicating that my software could be counterfeit. This morning I get an email that might have contained a virus, Now the machine is not opening windows. How do I apply recover?

no it is not

It is just showing the windows XP sign but would not bring it up. Instead it is taking me to the different modes - Safe mode etc

that is one option, but nothinh is happening when I try. Separately, when I hit a few of the "F' keys I can get to the set up (configuration) but I have no idea what to do

If you can start in safe mode, search WGA in registry and delete all entries. The computer will start in normal mode.

If you cannot, than use BartPE and Registry offline editor and search and delet WGA .

do you have another computer?

If so install the hard drive From the problem computer into the Other computer as another physical drive (Raid 0 i think it is) And boot from that computers main drive, then view your corrupted drive in "My Computer" drag and only take the files you really need from your corrupted disk onto your working pc.

Format the bugged disk re-install windows, and insert folders back into it.

Thats My option. don't haste through and do it, there might be another option.
