Quad core Imac V custom PC!!!

Hi there, i was wondering what would be better, a quad core i5 imac or a custom built PC, i do alot of after effects, photoshopping, video encoding and some gaming. please list what would be better. Ty

... What's the budget? Typically for workstations I go mac pro, however, I would not go for an i5 - atleast an i7 for the hyperthreading.

Gaming on a Mac is not as much extensive as on a PC.. Further, an iMac will not have any future upgrade options if need be.. Thus, for your requirements, my suggestion is to go for a custom build PC.. Of course it won't look as attractive as a Mac but it'll serve your purpose in a more efficient manner.. It'll be cheaper also..
