Are you saying that the entire Windows Desktop (including the task bar, etc) only fills up half your screen?

Or that the desktop fills up the whole screen but the windows that the games open in are very small?

Thanks. The desktop is normal just the games windows are only around half size. A shop told me to check settings in games, couldn,t see anything there. I can have a look at what the games are, but they are just simple ones like solitare

Just put your mouse over one of the corners of the game window and click-drag the corner to make the window larger. You can make the game fill up the whole screen by double-clicking on the title bar.

I just checked Solitaire and FreeCell on Windows 7 and it looks like both of these programs remember the window size - so whatever size you set the window to should be remembered the next time you start the game.
