ATI vs Nvidia ? how much should i ask this ?Please answer

Hi people my bigest question is this : whats the Primary Diffrence Between ATI & Nvidia ? i mean which one makes better quality in games ? because i heard ( for example ) Physx of Nvidia makes higher quality in games . OR CUDA too , NOW ,
If ati doesnt have does things, it means that it cant make games as nice as Nvidia cards do ? & let me make my question clearer :
For example we have 1 ATI & 1 Nvidia card with very similar performance ( like GTX 460 & ATI 5850 )( which crysis runs great on both cards ) & if we gonna run Crysis with same setings ( maxed out ) on both cards , which Card will let Crysis to produce higher Quality ? if we had two Nvidia cards( for example GTX 460 & 470 ) then Crysis ( even maxed out ) wouldnt bring any quality difference , because they both are using same technology . but wanna know if ATI & NVIDIA are same too , or producers put somethign in both of them to make a difference .

& which one make games run faster ? ( we are not comparing GTX 460 or 5850 , its overall question about ATI & Nvidia cards )

Dipankar2007ind , u mean that they dont have something special ? I love ATI cards , but never owned one . but i have seen how they work . just wanna know if i am not gonna lose Quality by geting ATi card & Forgeting the Physix .

What CUDA & PhysX do for games ? if they make same quality as ATI cards then . why they have made for ?

they are more or less the same.

However, I find that with ATI cards, you get more driver updates (which i consider a bad thing) which means you've gotta update more often, which i find a pain in the butt.

Games are normally supported by Nvidia, but with ATI, you need driver updates (which covers all the games eventually, but.... damn updates...)

The GENERAL trend between the two companies for many years has been:

1. ATI has slightly better performance of graphic cards / price (biggest change was when 8800gt was released tho, smashed ati in both price and performance)
2. Nvidia GENERALLY has better software drivers, less updates, and more reliability.

But if you wanna look at a hardware point of view, and wanna squeeze out the most FPS for ur dollar, I'd go with ATI.

However, if you wanna just get a card, that works, and dont have to worry about software compatibility issues, I'd go with nvidia (i hardly EVER update my graphics drivers after I install it) Had the 8800, NEVER updated driver... and it still worked till I replaced it 5 days ago, never had any issues.

lets talk about those 10 games , so even 10 is not low number . will i get lower quality or textures or movments by Geting ATI card , or results would be same ?

& then someone told me ATI is not bring good details it only make more frames , but Nvidia makes more details . i dont believe it but can u guys Correct this thing ? is it right or wrong ?

& then i stuck on geting GTX 460 or 5850 , i wanna know which will work FASTER , BETTER , Easier , less problem , more quality Details & frams & shading .

Please dont suggest me other card because i have budget Limitation , & i only can get 1 of them . & its too important for me that which one will Pruduce More Quality in games specialy Details & textures . for example in CRYSIS . I dont want lose something big by geting ATI card .

Why then have you said in many posts that ATi cards are better? Too afraid to put your money where your mouth is?

Both are GPU's, both have pro's and con's..

Nvidia is as good as ATI/AMD.. Each have there own levels of preformance and quality. Decide which you like based on the facts that each card presents its own weaknesses but then also presents itself with there own brand of technologies.

I knew the answer from first , but just wanted to make sure about it , thats how i am . & mouse monkey , in many posts i didnt send wrong massage i told right thing , but now i wanted to see what u guys will say .

I saw that my friend played Crysis on 4850 with no problem . so ... ? just wanted to know what PhysX is for . & now i know . THANKS for Info .
