Getting GT 220

I'm stuck here with a dual core Pentium D at 3.0GHz until I get a new computer since my mobo can't take any better processors. I'm planning on getting a GT 220. Do you think the Pentium D would cause the GT 220 to peform poorly? I want to be playing games Alien Swarm, GRID, and Left For Dead 2 on high settings at 1024x768.
