I just found myself around 1000€ to buy a pc, and I'm thinkin about something like this(starting from another thread I found a pair of steps from here):

I'm sorry those prices are in euros...

phenom x6 1090t 220€
HDT90ZFBGRBOX - AMD - CPU Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition 3,2 - ePRICE
asrock 890gx extreme 3 118€
90-MXGE70-A0UAYZ - ASROCK - Motherboard 890GX EXTREME3 socket AM3 chipset AM - ePRICE
2x ati 6870HD 209,99x2=420€
SAPPHIRE - Radeon HD 6850 1 Gb ddr5 Pci-E DVI-I Dual Link / DVI-D Single Link / HDMI / Dual Mini-Display Port Toxic Edition
4x Corsair Dimm XMS3 Dominator 2x2gb ddr3 1600mhz dual 87x2=175€ quindi 8gb
CMP4GX3M2A1600C9 - CORSAIR - Memory Dimm XMS3 Dominator 4 Gb (2x2 Gb) ddr3 D - ePRICE
1x 1tb sata2 7200 50€
WD10EARS - WESTERN DIGITAL - Caviar Green Power 1 Tb Sata 300 Buffer 64 Mb 72 - ePRICE

I'm also gonna need a power supply and a monitor.

Someone told me that I should get a 965 as a cpu, cause it is better for gaming. Is that true?

Any suggestions? thanks in advance.

If u only game and dun render/encode/vid edit/compile then yes just the 955BE would be fine along with 4GB DDR3 ^^

HD 6870CF would be fine on a beefy 80+/80+ bronze 650W PSU

Nice big juicy display often under estimated for gaming experience so for me min a 23" 1920 x 1080 :p
