Hi, I have been running Win 7 64-bit for some time. I have a fairly decent PC but I like to tinker and faster is always better; Especially if an upgrade is not a huge expense. So, Windows 7 says it benefits from READYBOOST, but it will only use a USB drive for that? Now, it seems to me that most USBs are well below the transfer rates of a decent hard drive. Does anyone have any benchmarks in this area and hardware recommendations if readyboost is favored?

I run with a 512mb readyboost with 2gb of system ram

I have been googling and cannot find anything but an old benchmark from Vista

It did say over 2gb of system ram and readyboost did nothing

I hope some site does Win 7 benching just to see if it is any better

I didnt think it would help
but I didnt think it would hurt performance
