I have a pc with amd athlon 2 x4 640 processor , 4g ddr3 ram ,and msi 770-g45 motherboard.. and despite all of that there is low performance especially during multitasking , the computer freezer for a few seconds for example .. anybody knows why is that because the processor has a 512kb L2 cache

Which OS do you work with..? Also, are you running on onboard display or do you have a discrete graphics card..? Mention your entire system specs..

It can be many things. Power issue (to small a PSU), can be network lag if on the web but most likely with heavy multitasking you are running out of Ram and the computer has to access the swap/page file that is a lot slower than the Ram. (if you are on 32bit OS you have max supported ram but 64bit can handle more)

As an experiment, turn off your antivirus and try with your multitasks.. If it yields no benefits, check your memory sticks for errors.. You can use memtest to do it..

it turned out that i installed the motherboard incorrectly to the case and a part of the motherboard back was touching the case .. this made a short circuit or something and was the reason for the bad performance .. now the motherboard was damaged and we are giving it to the maintenace today to see if it can be fixed .. Thanks to you all
