I hope this won't be perceived as spam, but I'd like to point out to you the
website I've recently launched. We index and display all computer-related
reviews, including digital cameras.

Included digital camera websites are:
Digital Camera Resource
Digital Photography Review
megapixel net
PBase Camera Database
Steve's DigiCams
The Luminous Landscape

Other sites also reviewing some cameras:
Anandtech
CNet
Tom's Hardware
...and some others

This page shows all digital cameras that have reviews matched to them:
http://www.reviewmonitor.com/index.php/directory/22

And this is the main page, which also shows the latest released reviews:
http://www.reviewmonitor.com/

Something tells me that you can't just use other people's material
without their permission. Time will tell if you get any nasty messages
from their authors.

Something tells me you didn't even check the site out.

http://www.freedom-to-tinker.com/; "Why hasn't TiVo improved?"

Hide in the closet while the rest of us kill the lawyers and proceed to
invent the future.

A better question to ask of "www.reviewmonitor.com" is (a) when do the
ads arrive, and (b) will they be able to prune their database of stale
links etc on a timely basis?

Well: because of the existence of this service, they would want to be on it.

So I don't really need to anwer to our legal existance, which is, by the
way, perfectly sound.

a. We might be able sell the data to computer sites (mainly the 'latest
reviews'-list) for a fee to keep it banner-free. However, the banners we
would use will definitely not get seriously in the way of easy
user-interfacing.

b. No problems there. It's highly automated, and the used sources are
typically clean. We also have full control over the proces.
