My system:
RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR1600 2X4GB
MOBO: Gigabyte 990FX-UD3
CPU: FX-4100

I just bought and installed an FX-4100 last night. The CPU works great. But my RAM automatically set to DDR1333. I changed the multiplier to bring the RAM up to 1600MHZ but it won't boot. And then it pops an error at the POST screen that my overclock attempt had failed. So I tried bumping voltage up to 1.6 just to see, and I still get the same result. The weird thing is, that when I had my Phenom ii X4 810 in the same board with the same RAM, it would run 1600MHZ not problem.

Help!

Woops, I should be more descriptive. I tried setting it to DDR1600. When that didn't work, bumped the multiplier up one to bring it to 1600MHZ. Both ways didn't work. I don't understand why it would go 1600MHZ before and now with a better CPU it won't...

I jumped in BIOS to confirm settings. AUTO said it was setting it to 9-9-9-24 which is correct. I turned AUTO off and confirmed settings. Boots up at 1600Mhz now no problem :) What was throwing me off is when I had my Phenom ii X4 810 I didn't have that issue. Oh well, working great now.
