AMD 990FX and my hardware setup

I'm looking to get a motherboard that will allow me to put my Phenom II (which is currently sitting in a box on my desk being used as a paper weight... :lol: ). I'd really like to get a motherboard with UEFI BIOS to make it easier for OC'ing purposes.

Here's some of the hardware I will be using for this board:

- Corsair Graphite 600T
- Corsair TX 750
- 2 x EVGA Geforce GTX 550TI 2GB
- Plextor B940
- Intel 320SSD
- Western Digital Caviar Blue 7200 RPM 1TB
- Thermalright Silver Arrow

Now I need a board with at least 6 SATA ports and one SATA-III port - now that rules out the Asrock board I was looking at - 990X Extreme3, since it only has 5 SATA ports. The Gigabyte GA-990FX-UD5 is also a top contender, as is the Asus Sabertooth.

The question is which one would work better for my setup given the hardware I already have?

Why not just a 990X, it's much cheaper and would match your components better.

That one's just a bit out of my price range - I'm trying to keep the total <=$270. With that motherboard + RAM it'd bring the total well over $300.

Why not just a 990X, it's much cheaper and would match your components better.

I was looking at that board - I was also looking at the Gigabyte and Asrock models as well.
