They are fairly close see this comparison with the e7500 http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/87?vs=120&i=2.3.4.5.6.25.26.27.28.29.30.31.32.33.34.35.36.37.38.39.40.41.42.43.44.45.46.47.48.49.50 the phenom isd a bit better and has the chance of unlocking 2 more cores if paired with a motherboard that support this feature.
