Approximate Purchase Date: ASAP

Budget Range: 500-600

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, Watching movies, Surfing the web

Parts Not Required: keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, OS

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: any, will be ordering online.

Country of Origin: USA(california)

Parts Preferences: any

Overclocking: yes, but i am a beginner

SLI or Crossfire: no

Monitor Resolution: 1680x1050, 1920x1080

can;'t see your list.

Look at today's $500 build. Its actually pretty solid. With prices having dropped since the build was started, you could get it with a 500 GB HDD now

Mechanical drives (even the velociraptors) don't saturate SATA II. There is no point paying the premium for the sata 3 1TB drive, when SATA 2 is similar performance.
