Old Specs:
Corsair VX550
Core2Duo E7400@3.6GHz
Gigabyte G41 ES2H
4GB DDR2 RAM
Geforce 9800GT

It was easily running at 3.6GHz, No Problems. All I did was put a new GTX460 AMP!. I put it in and PC failed to start. It only works on stock and doesnt allow any overclocking. My question is - What the HELL is this????

A new i5 760 is on the way along with Gigabyte P55 USB3. Atleast tell me this problem wont come in the new setup. Has something like this ever happened to any one else? If I cant OC the 760 I'm ruined.....

Did you reset your procie to its stock speed before installing the GTX460?
There's just some instances when upgrading a video card or installing a new one
or ram, before doing anything else, set the procie's speed to its stock then you
install the new video card, then reset the mobo's settings to stock then turn the
system on then go to the BIOS settings then you tweak it to the way it was as an
overclocked procie based from the speed you want.

If, nothing happens and the procie still wont OC, then there's something wrong
with the config of your new video card, OR, try reading the mobo's manual i think
there's some settings there to tweak(not sure though) which affects the procie's
property to OC in someway.
