Hi, i'm just looking for help with my first build. It's going to be used heavily in gaming and possibly video editing.

The price of the grand total is $1,228.91 I'm hoping for a drop in price after Christmas which is when i'll be buying the parts. Anything thing that could be changed to possibly save money, or improve overall would be great, Thanks.

you might want to go with the Asus sabertooth board. I have read tons of bad things about the motherboard you want but it could have just been a bad batch.

I already grabbed the mobo, would rather not have to bring it back. Unless you think i really should.

assuming you do not have an os.
also your mobo is fine. it'll be fine for the build.

get one card (6950) so you can XFire later on when you need it. not right away.
and NZXT phantom is a better case than the 932 IMO
its also on sale at the moment w/ free ship.

Would this be better for a longer lasting system? Say, maybe in a year or two add another 6950 and throw them into crossfire?
